Description

JP 9mm Bolt – Generation 2

Machined to the same exacting tolerances as our AR-15 bolts, this second-generation 9mm bolt features a completely redesigned architecture.

It eliminates the need for a central weight (slug), allowing seamless operation with the JP 9mm Silent Captured Spring (SCS) without compromising bolt mass or reliability.

When paired with the JP SCS, this system delivers outstanding performance:

  • Significantly reduced bolt bounce
  • Improved stability and accuracy
  • Smoother, more consistent cycling

The complete JP 9mm system is slightly heavier than a traditional bolt and RRA buffer setup. This is due to a portion of the bolt mass being transferred to the SCS in our design.

SCS Gen 2 9mm Requirements

The Gen 2 9mm SCS requires:

  • An open channel in the bolt to allow the guide rod to pass during recoil
  • Removal of the central weight in most bolt designs

⚠️ To function with the SCS, the central weight must be removable.
