Automatic Powder Measure for Dillon Presses

This powder measure, mounted on its bracket attached to the press, is automatically activated by the case expander inserted in its housing when you lower the press lever. The powder measure drawer automatically returns to its original position when you raise the lever, thanks to the return bar.

Case-Activated Operation

The powder measure is activated by the presence of a case: it only dispenses a powder charge when a case is present. When this is the case, the dosing bar travels its full stroke until it aligns perfectly with the body of the measure, allowing the powder charge to flow through the dosing hopper.

This feature prevents powder spillage during adjustments or if, for any reason, no case is in place during the press cycle.

Adjustable Volumetric Dosing System

The Dillon powder measure uses an adjustable volume dosing bar to determine the amount of powder. Adjustment is made by turning a screw at the end of the bar, thus changing the volume into which the powder will be dispensed. It is essential to use a reliable scale to accurately adjust the desired charge.

Available powder measure bar types:

Extra Small: For loads under 3 grains (e.g., .32 Auto, .32 S&W, .32 S&W Long) – sold separately

Small: For loads from 3 to 20 grains – included with the Dillon powder measure

Large: For loads from 20 to approximately 45-50 grains – also included

Magnum: For loads of 50 grains and over – sold separately

Small and Large bars are included as standard with every powder measure. Extra Small and Magnum bars must be ordered separately.
